• Fit headlamp beam converters so that you don't dazzle oncoming drivers.
• Check whether your insurance policy extends the same cover to Europe.
• Carry a warning triangle in the boot in case of breakdown or to use after an accident. This is law in most European states.
• Take insurance, registration details and your international driving license.
• A First Aid Kit and Fire Extinguisher are compulsory in some European countries.
